security passWhat are the features of these passes? - The passes are a “Standard of the industry” size and are a heavy 16 mil thick. They have rounded corners and a oval slot punch, features that do-it-yourself passes usually don’t have. Our passes are border-less, turning out more like a hard plastic card than a laminated piece of paper. You can have any size pass smaller than 3 X 5 inches, but the standard pass size is 2.6 by 4.7 inches

What kind of quality are these passes? - The Best in the Industry! We have designed passes for 100’s of recording artists, festivals, fairs, and conventions throughout the years, and also provide other services (Through our , Interactive Itinerary), to The White Stripes, The Deftones, System of a Down, Ratdog and dozens of local bands, corporations, events and festivals We have been in the entertainment production industry for 24 years, and know that great passes can make your band, brand or show look pro, secure sensitive areas or make great VIP invites, but don’t think it should be some major project to get them in your hands.

Can I order a specific number, like 575? - Sorry, we have some of the fastest turnarounds and best pricing in the industry for everyone. To do this, we stick to our packages and pass offerings on the site, but we are sure to have one that fits your needs.

So...Who are you guys? - BandPasses.com is the idea of a former tour manager, music industry veteran and the inventor/owner of Interactive Itinerary, an on line itinerary service for touring bands. Clients of Interactive Itinerary have included the Deftones, incubus, System of a Down, 311 and other national recording artists. You can check out the Interactive Itinerary services at www.interactiveitinerary.com . We also promote local and regional shows, do event marketing and offer web services for entertainment vendors.

Can I have you do something with holographic foils, glow in the dark inks, or special shapes or sizes? - No. We only produce standard “rock n roll” style laminates and satins. Our passes remain true to industry standards, while providing great built in security features like no-borders that cost extra elsewhere, and feel more like a membership card than a pass with soul.

Do you have samples available? - CLICK HERE TO CHECK OUT OUR GALLERY. To keep costs down and provide affordable passes to any band, we DO NOT provide any samples. Our passes use first quality products, specialty stock and feature NO BORDER, making your pass virtually counterfeit proof. Don’t confuse our laminates with ANYTHING that you can do in the office or at home. These are first quality backstage/VIP passes.

Can I have My Artwork on the passes? - Yes, We accept ANY file, PC or MAC. You can e-mail art to us at info@bandpasses.com . Check our art section for more details and specs. 300 DPI JPEGs are Preferred, and work the best in our all digital printing realm.

What if I don’t have any artwork? - We will design two choices for you based on information you give us about the type of band, festival, or event you are, art on your web site, or Posters/Ads that you can send us to use.

How long does it take? Most orders ship within 72 hours after the order is paid for and artwork delivered, or you give us an idea of what you want based on your web site, logo, or idea. Almost never more than 7 days for passes to be on your desk, or shipped to you on the road. There are times we can work miracles, so e-mail us if you are in a super rush, and we will see what we can do.

How do you charge me for my order? We use Pay Pal as our preferred method of accepting credit card orders. It’s safe, easy, you DO NOT need to sign up with them or be a “member” and is guaranteed secure! If you want to send us a Cashiers Check or money order for your order, just e-mail us with your order and details.  NO personal or business checks without approval.

What kind of artwork can I send you? - A 300 DPI Photoshop or JPEG file is best, but you can send us to your web site to pull art from there, or send us your other printed art via the mail. WE CAN TAKE ANY FILE YOU HAVE, BUT THE BETTER THE ART, THE BETTER THE PASS. People say we do miracles with nothing, so don’t be shy if you have nothing. We will work with you if you do not, but if you do have art, please send it to us in an e-mail and Include your name with the attachment.

Can you quote me on “X” number of passes? - Everything we sell under 1000 passes is on our shopping site at www.backstagearea.com/shop  Need more than 1000? e-mail us for a quote, but if it’s under 1000, it would only be available by ordering from our site.

Can I get these in 2 days? - In a lot of cases, yes. the best way to make this happen is to e-mail us with your deadline (your REAL deadline) of when they need to be to your location, and we will get right back to you. Overnight shipping on ANY order is only $13.99 and is available on the site at www.backstagearea.com/shop with our other products. Selecting overnight shipping does NOT mean that your order will ship the next day. Selecting overnight only means that you will save one day in shipping transit. All other orders are shipped FREE via FedEx 2 day.

Do you personalize, inset pictures or “name” badges? - No, but a lot of our clients leave space in the design for an Avery label/name tag. We are the basic, full color, thick, “rock and roll” pass choice for cool looking laminates and satins. 

So how secure are your passes? - We don’t delve into holographs, bar codes, or laser beams shooting out of our passes, but they come out shinny, as thick as a credit card, and borderless. There really is not a way that you can duplicate one of our passes with paper and lamination. Close inspection will tell the difference right away, but as a tour manager once told us, “All we really want out of life is a security guard that can tell the difference between red and blue”.  Your security will always depend more on your staff, than on any pass.

On an order, can I have 50 VIP, 20 All Access, and 20 Media? -  Yes. one of the cool things about us is you can have up to 5 different catagories/tags/art on any order with NO extra charge. Just add up the total number of passes you need, and order that number, which will give you a cheaper price than separate orders for your different passes.

We are a non profit/charitable organization. do you have discounts? BandPasses.com donates money and products to charitable efforts throughout the year. All of those situations are determined at the beginning of the year. All others must order the same as anyone else. Please do take into account that pretty much every order comes with “extras”. Those can be more when we know that an event is for a worthy cause, but it will just be something we decide to do when we process your order.

We are a school, casino, or company that would like to set up an account. Do you do terms? - No. All of our business is payment upfront, and then the fastest service available to get custom pro passes to you. If you are a huge company that can’t place an online order, or get a hand waived over a check, then we might not be the right solution for you. If you can, then we are the easiest pro solution in the industry. Due to the number of calls that start out “I would do anything for a Justin/Kelly/”Insert band of the moment here” pass”, we don’t post our phone number on the site any longer....and no. We can’t get you into a show or let you meet “insert your girlfriends favorite band here”

Can I choose how you send my passes to me?
YES. ALL 2 DAY FedEx SHIPPING is included in the price of your passes. We ship Fed X and UPS for you protection. We have a feature at the bottom of our order page when you shop at www.bandpasses.com/shop that lets you add Overnight Delivery to your order for just $13.99. This won’t effect the production time, but will save you one day in getting your passes.

What other conditions might prevent me from receiving my order on time? in VERY In rare times....

  • Airline delays
  • Unavailability or refusal of a person to accept delivery of the shipment
  • Acts of God
  • Public authorities acting with actual or apparent authority on the premises
  • Acts or omissions of customs or similar authorities
  • Riots, strikes or other labor disputes, civil commotion
  • Disruptions in air or ground transportation networks, such as weather phenomena and natural disasters

Will I have to sign for my package?
For your protection, we require a signature to deliver a package valued at more than $100 We can not ship to a PO Box with Fed X.

Do you ship outside the U.S.?
Currently, We do NOT ship outside of the US unless the customer has a FedEx to use for shipment and duties.

Can I arrange for weekend delivery?
We can ship your order for delivery on Saturdays if you wish. Just click the Fed X $13.99 Overnight option when you order and we will ship them for Saturday delivery

Can I track My Order?
When we ship your order, we will send you a tracing number via e-mail so you can follow it’s progress.
